The Board would like to make sure everyone knows the important dates for our community as we enter the final quarter of the year.  There are several traditions that will be unfolding where your presence makes a difference!  Let’s come together for our mid-year membership meeting, gratitude potluck, holiday open house, metaphysical holiday service, releasing and white stone ceremonies.  Mark your calendars and join in the positive energy!

It’s time to declare your side dish or dessert for our annual Gratitude Potluck on Sunday, November 24th!  Rev. Laine and Terri will provide the turkey, but it’s up to all of us to bring all the other goodies!  See the sign-up sheet in the Fellowship Hall to indicate what you have covered for our fabulous meal!  It is always scrumptious!

Each year, on the first Friday of December, CSLTB enjoys a holiday open house and this year, it will be held on Friday, December 6th at Ellen Fenner’s home!  The festivities start at 4pm and will continue until all the holiday joy available that evening has been shared!  Mark your calendar and watch for more details.

Several summer participants ask that we continue with weekly prayer Practitioner support calls going forward.  The Practitioners, led by Ellen Fenner, have agreed to offer a single weekly opportunity for the entire community on Tuesday evenings at 7pm.  This will be an opportunity to practice using affirmations and prayer to deepen our connection to our creative source.  There is no need to register, and anyone can drop in any week that suits their schedule!  Please save the Zoom link for easy participation. At the end of each year, non-profits hold fundraisers, and CSLTB is no exception.  Our campaign this year ties to our focus in 2024 on the appreciation we feel for each other and for the Center.  Our goal for this campaign is $7000 and we are ready to hang stars on our Tree of Belonging as each $100 is donated.  This year, as you participate, you will be given the opportunity to express your individual gratitude and appreciation for something or someone specifically.  And, as the stars are hung each week, your words of appreciation will be shared.  The first stars will start shining on Sunday, November 24th and you can participate now by clicking this LINK or using one of the beautiful gold envelopes available at the Center.  Let’s let our appreciation shine!

September/October double issues of Science of Mind Magazine is now available! Please note that they are $10 for the double issue. Throw a ten dollar bill in your pocket and get yours starting this Sunday! See the basket in the fellowship hall, which works on the honor system.

Connection Time starts at 9:15am and each person can choose how to spend their time each week.

Do you want to connect within with Spirit? Head to the practitioner room for a quiet space with soft music and lighting, There may or may not be a guided experience, depending on the week, but there will always be a space to pray, meditate or sit in the silence.

Do you want to connect over coffee and casual conversation? Head to the fellowship hall to get a cup of coffee and always feel free to bring a snack to share.

Do you want to connect with Rev. Laine, the lesson and a guided conversation? Head to the sanctuary for Sacred Cup, which is a guided discussion about the lesson for the morning. Usually hosted by Rev. Laine, however another host will be present on some Sundays when she is elsewhere.

Don’t miss out! Come be part of the lively spiritual discussions we have every Sunday morning at 9:15, now in the santuary during Connection Time! Sunday’s just aren’t the same without a sacred cup!

We offer a guided meditation on Sunday mornings from 10:00 – 10:20 in the practitioner room. The practitioner room will continue to be available for quiet personal time anytime after 9:00. Then at 10:00 if you want to experience meditation as a group, you can head back to the practitioner room for our guided meditation from one of our licensed practitioners.

We wholeheartedly invite children into our dedicated space of learning and light. Help us spread the news to any families who may be looking for a positive environment for their little “big souls in small packages!”

Let’s love each other! If you have availability to help others by driving them to appointments or helping with errands, let us know. We would like to start a community "tree" -- a list of available members who have the time and ability to transport others or help in other ways when needed. Practitioner Ellen Fenner will be the primary contact and will communicate with others on the list to coordinate efforts. The Volunteer Committee is hosting a small opportunity to help the organization Meals on Wheels with their annual holiday gifting program.  See Jill Braun-Smith if you would like to be one of five CSLTB volunteers representing us in this very satisfying opportunity to brighten the holidays of those receiving Meals on Wheels on Tuesday, December 17th from 12-2pm.
